Expert and community speakers from 7.00pm, followed by discussion. We’ll discuss causes and solutions, and hear from leaders of successful community campaigns.

Tim Lecky (traffic planner) and Murray West (urban strategist and traffic engineer). From MCCagney, the consultancy who wrote a background paper including a focus on pedestrians, for the City of Melbourne’s Transport Strategy update in 2018.
Jane Holroyd: Local pedestrian and public transport advocate
Helen McDonald: the Merri Bridge Group successfully campaigned for a foot and bike bridge to link Brunswick and Northcote behind Ceres.
Helen Kratzmann: The group Pedestrian Safety for Nicholson Street Coburg got new lights installed in Nicholson Street Coburg, linking apartments and an IGA with a mosque and houses on the other side.
